Electropolishing

Electropolishing removes surface material, beginning with the high points within the microscopic surface texture. This process will improve the surface finish of a metal, leaving a smoother and more reflective surface. Benefits of electropolishing include:

  • A clean, smooth surface area that is easier to serilize
  • Polished areas that are inaccessible by other polishing methods
  • A mirror-like quality finish to the surface

Mechanical Polishing

Mechanical polishing is the smoothing of a surface using mechanical tools and abrasives, removing material, and plastically deforming the surface while altering the macro-, and microscopic surface texture.

Glass Bead Blasting

Bead blasting removes surface deposits by applying fine glass beads at a high pressure without damaging the surface. This creates a clean surface, while helping to prevent rust from metal surfaces.

Passivation

Passivation is a non-electrolytic process that removes free iron from metal surface, helping to restore it to its original, non-corrosive state, and prevent rust.
